Abstract

Early menstruation in adolescenls can ba influencad by nutritional status and nutrients consumed by teenagers. This study aims to delermine the rclationship of nutdent intake and nuttitonal status on the incidence of eaiy mensbuation at SMPN 1 East Kabaena- This research is descriptive analylic with Cross Secrional Study. The population in this study were all studenls ol SMPN 1 East Kabaena da many as94people. Sampling technique was putposive sampling. Data werc obtained using a questionnaire and anthropometic measurements. Data werc analized by using Chi-squarc tesl. Resulrs sholt/s lhal trom 42 adolescents who consumed enough energy, lhere were 25 people (59.5%) experienced aady menstruation, and hom 38 adolescents who coasumed less prctein, lhere werc 29 people 06.3%) experienced oady menstruation. While the 33 adolesc,enls who consumed loss fat, there werc 25 people (75.8fi expeienced early menstruation, and of 37 teenagerc who consumed more carbohydrates, there were 24 people (64.90/0) had notmal menstruatbn, while from 37 teenagors who had over-nutri$on status, there were 24 people (60.0%) had nomal menslruation. The resufts show that therc is a relationship belween nuttitional intake and nuttitional status with the incidene of aady menstruatbn in female students at SMPN 1 EastKabaena.
