Abstract
Mika Kasenda (NIM: 144012017000274) "Nursing Care On" J "with Heavy Head Trauma (TKB) in the ICU of Bahteramas Hospital" under the guidance of Asminarsih Zainal Prio. Severe head trauma is head trauma which results in decreased awareness with a score of GCS 3-8, experience amnesia> 24 hours (Haddad, 2012). According to Irawan, et al (2010) head trauma is a health problem that can cause complex physical and mental disorders. One of the causes of head trauma is traffic accidents, which are more common in men than women (Aghakhani et al., 2013). Head trauma is the main cause of death and disability in the productive age group and most of them occur due to traffic accidents (Mansjoer, 2011). The purpose of the study as a reference to problem solving in the case of a patient with TKB using a nursing care process approach that was compiled systematically and comprehensively. From nursing care, the results of clients who experienced severe head trauma experienced a decrease in consciousness due to the ineffectiveness of cerebral tissue perfusion and ineffective breathing patterns due to respiratory muscle failure. The success of treatment and treatment of Severe Head Trauma is very much dependent on the collaboration of Medical and other related units in the Hospital, it is also greatly influenced by the rapid and precise handling of the first time the victim is found down to health care facilities
